Riddles Education Initiative is a young, research-driven literacy organization established in 2024 to respond to the growing reading challenges faced by primary school children in The Gambia.
We work closely with children, parents, and schools to design practical reading interventions that improve fluency, comprehension, and confidence—laying the groundwork for lifelong learning.
Within our first year, we have begun implementing pilot reading interventions, supporting children through targeted literacy activities and engaging parents as active partners in their children’s learning journey.
Our focus is not scale alone, but measurable progress, sustainability, and community ownership.
Our approach combines structured reading support, parental engagement, and trained volunteers. Through The Angel Project, we identify learning gaps early and provide focused support that meets children where they are.
We adapt global literacy research to local contexts, ensuring solutions are relevant, practical, and effective.
